MACOMB POLICE PATROL: Suspect Returns to the Scene of the Crime

Test your smoke alarms every month, change your batteries every six months, change your alarms every 10 years, and have detectors on every level and in every bedroom.

LARCENY IN A BUILDING AND POSSESSION OF BURGLAR’S TOOLS – On June 4, Macomb County Sheriff’s Deputies took a larceny report of personal property from the Planet Fitness located on Groesbeck Hwy in Mt. Clemens. One of the members reported that his lock had been cut from his locker and personal belongings stolen. Along with his personal belongings, his vehicle keys were stolen and items were also taken from his vehicle. Macomb County Sheriff’s deputies worked with Planet Fitness and were able to generate a suspect. On June 7, Macomb County Sheriff’s received notice that the suspect, Carl Danielson, 39, out of Mt. Clemens was inside Planet Fitness. Deputies arrived and located Danielson attempting to leave the facility. Danielson was stopped and found to have bolt cutters and property belonging to another gym member in his possession. Danielson was lodged at the Macomb County Jail and these reports were forwarded to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office. Two separate complaints were issued for Danielson with the following charges (total): two counts of Larceny in a Building (4 year felony), one count of Burglar’s Tools – Possession (10 year felony), and one count of Breaking & Entering – A Vehicle to Steal Property Less Than $200.00 (93 day misdemeanor). Danielson was arraigned on June 8 in the 41B District Court of Clinton Township on the above charges. He was given a $20,000 bond and is scheduled to be back in court on June 20.
