Sanctum House Chili Cook Off Fundraiser April 21

Sanctum House is hosting a Chili Cook Off at the American Legion Hall Friday, April 21 from 6-9 p.m.

A $10 donation gets you five chili tastes, access to the topping bar, pop and chips, and one vote. The event will also feature a 50/50 raffle, a gift basket raffle, a “Made in Michigan” gift basket drawing, and a cash bar.

Sanctum House is a safe home for survivors of human trafficking to heal and rebuild their lives. They offer shelter and a 24-month program for personal development and education for women.

There were 246 human trafficking cases reported in Michigan in 2016, according to the National Human Trafficking Resource Center. Human Trafficking is a worldwide issue that includes child labor, sex trafficking, forced labor, and child soldiers.
