SOLICITING NUDE PHOTOS FROM UNDERAGE GIRL. In January, The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office MACE (Macomb Area Computer Enforcement) unit was requested to assist the St. Clair Shores Police Department in a child sexual abusive activity case. A 13-year-old female had met a male via social media and the two began to talk on Snapchat. The male began to solicit the 13-year-old for nude photographs, claiming he had another nude photograph of her and would expose her if she didn’t send him additional photographs. The 13-year-old gave in under the pressure and sent a photograph to the male. He continued to threaten the 13-year-old and demanded more photos.

MACE detectives began to investigate and issued several search warrants to different companies. Information was gathered that led detectives to Hadi Cherri, an 18-year-old male out of Dearborn. This case was submitted to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office and a warrant was issued; Count 1: Children – Accosting for Immoral Purposes (4-year felony), Count 2: Computers – Internet – Communicating with Another to Commit Crime (10-year felony), Count 3: Extortion (20-year felony), Count 4: Computers – Using to Commit a Crime (20-year felony). Cherri was arrested at his home on this warrant and was arraigned on 3/26/18 in the 40th District Court of St. Clair Shores.

MACE detectives continue to investigate this case and believe that there may be additional young females who have been victimized by Cherri. Anyone who believes that they or their child had inappropriate contact with Cherri is asked to contact Detective Perry at 586-463-4191.

YOU CAN’T HIDE YOUR IDENTITY – Oakland County Officers received a call from Clinton Township Police informing them of a situation involving a domestic violence suspect who had been at their station earlier. CTPD informed them that the suspect was en route back to her listed address. When officers arrived, the suspect was not home. As they went to try knocking on a side door a red mustang pulled into the driveway. The officer approached the vehicle as its female driver exited. He asked her to identify herself, a request she ignored and continued to walk past him. He asked her again and after a bit of time she finally gave the officer her driver’s license. She was identified as the suspect and taken to the CTPD for transfer.

LATE NIGHT DRIVE PUTS TWO BEHIND BARS. An Officer initiated a traffic stop on the driver of a silver 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix who was driving erratically on northbound Livernois, just before 3 a.m. The officer spoke with the driver, a 24-year-old female from Rochester Hills, and the passenger, a 22-year-old male from Auburn Hills. The officer looked into the vehicle and noticed a clear plastic sandwich bag protruding from the driver’s wallet which was on the center console. The wallet was opened and the officer noted finding two plastic sandwich bags that contained a white powdery substance that appeared to be suspected cocaine. Also found in the wallet was another plastic sandwich bag that contained a brown powdery substance that appeared to be heroin. The arrested subjects were transported to the Lock-up Facility. Both suspects were charged with Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Heroin.
