Shield’s Restaurant and Pizzeria continues celebrating its 70th anniversary by offering 70-cent single scoop ice cream sundaes using creamy vanilla Stroh’s ice cream and delicious Sander’s hot fudge from June 1st through August 31. This tasty treat is available at all three Shield’s locations, including Troy, (1476 W. Maple Road), Southfield (25101 Telegraph), and Macomb, (50750 Romeo Plank Road at 23 mile).

This dessert offer is available at any time of the day and for anyone that comes in for a meal, from individuals to groups, dine in only, and coupons are still allowed for meals. Shield’s kicked off their big 70th anniversary in January 2016 in grand style by offering a small pizza with one topping for only 70 cents, as well as a giant sheet cake with free pieces. The night was wildly successful! The company is also celebrate by giving away 70 pizzas in 70 days!

“We’ve got a tasty treat to beat the heat,” jokes Paul Andoni of Shield’s in Troy. “It has to warm up eventually here in Michigan, and what better way to cool off than with a small Sundae using to of Michigan’s favorite treats, Stroh’s and Sanders? We have had so many loyal customers over the years dating back to the original Davison location, we’re going all out to do special things to say thank you.”

“Our customers once again voted us the number one pizza for 2015 in Metro Detroit in the annual WDIV Click On Detroit contest. With the competition around this area, that says a lot. So we’re saying thank you throughout the year by having special events and treats. We will have other special things, but those are being kept secret for now! (Paul says with a grin…) Suffice to say, it’s going to be a fun year.”
